Responsible for the overall direction of the organization; lead fundraising efforts by identifying sources for potential public and private donors; represent CISD at major events; responsible for overseeing hired staff.

Coordinates Board meetings and planning sessions. 

 

Treasurer – Reuven Kaufman

 

Responsible for all accounting and financial issues; assists with CISD tax returns.

 


Marketing - Mikael R. Besnainou and Tibi Zohar


Contacts for sponsors, partnership programs and other marketing opportunities.  Responsible for marketing the organization as a whole and conveying the CISD message in both Hebrew and English for the community.  


Welcome - Efrat Kaul-Granot & Jennie Starr

 

The committee will oversee the creation of a Welcome Kit for Israelis newcomers to San Diego. This kit will include local contacts for legal information associated with Green Cards,employment and insurance as well as guidance on finding employment. Committee members will assist newcomers to integrate within our community,recruit volunteers to deliver the Welcome Kit and encourage newcomers to participate in community events.



 

Cultural Events – Tarbut – Tami and Tibi Zohar


Develop and execute an annual event plan based on feedback from the community; coordinate all details associated with the event from contact to artist/singer/comedian to venue details, tickets, etc; coordinate with other regional organizations who sponsor Israeli-related events for possible inclusion in San Diego.  

 

Community and Business Directory – Doron Friedman


Manage the issues associated with the directory(s) including information collection, advertising and responding to questions from existing and potential members; consider plans for electronic distribution and print if appropriate.


Fundraising - Tibi Zohar


Manages fundraising, sponsorship and advertising opportunities.

 

Singles - OPEN


Create programming of interest for single Israelis in San Diego. 

 

Yeladim/Mishpachot – Jennie Starr


Create and market existing activities for children and families; identify other needs for Israeli families, such as a babysitter/nanny pool, family gatherings and additional services; based on need will find funding and hire an Israeli Coordinator to carry on the responsibilities of summer camps, a Tzofim program and other Hebrew speaking activities for children in San Diego including partnering with existing San Diego resources to do so.
